The goal of our training program is to provide well-rounded training for horse and rider.
Training at Farpoint is geared towards the disciplines of Hunters, Jumpers and Equitation in the American Hunter-Jumper Riding System . Programs are tailored to suit each horse and/or rider depending on their level of experience.
Training of the horse includes riding/schooling of the horse on the flat and over fences, lounging or long-reining, treadmill conditioning and light hacking. Horses are schooled in basic dressage and jumping skills (as appropriate).
Farpoint Farm Training Center is open to clients daily. Horses get turned out in private paddocks daily (weather permitting).
Our facilities include: 3 barns with a total of 30 stalls, a large 66' by 200' covered sand/rubber arena, 72' by 180' outdoor silica/felt arena, covered treadmill, TheraPlate, washrack, tack lockers, individual turnout paddocks, and a heated viewing area.
Our 12' x 12' stalls have rubber mats and are cleaned daily. The horses are fed 3 times a day.
Farpoint competes at Hunter/Jumper shows throughout the Pacific NW, California, and Canada. Our show schedule is determined by the goals of our riders and the needs of our horses. We try to find a balance between those that would like to show locally and those that would like to further their goals to include larger venues.
