Facility

Farpoint Farm Training Center is open to clients daily.  Horses get turned out in private paddocks daily (weather permitting). Our facilities include: 3 barns with a total of 42 stalls, a large 66' by 200' indoor arena, 80' by 180' outdoor hogsfuel arena, round pen, washrack, tack lockers, individual turnout paddocks, and a heated viewing area. Our 12' x 13' stalls have rubber mats and are cleaned daily. The horses are fed 3 times a day.

Training and Lessons

Training at Farpoint is geared towards the disciplines of Hunters, Jumpers and Equitation.  Horses are schooled in basic dressage and over fences (as appropriate).  Lessons are available 6
days a week and are included in the cost of the training program.  We have a small number of horses and ponies available to those who do not own their own horse.

 

Horse Shows

Farpoint takes horses, ponies and riders to shows on the West Coast hunter/jumper circuit, from Canada to California.  Our competition schedule incorporates a variety of shows for different levels of horses and riders.  Qualified riders also may attend National Finals in Kentucky, Pennsylvania and New York.

Denise Youell, Farpoint Farm's owner and trainer, has several years experience in training and caring for horses. She has ridden and worked for top trainers in the Northwest and California, as well as participating in clinics given by highly respected international riders. Over the past 20 years, Denise and her riders have won many Zone 9 (Hunters and Jumpers), Area 7 (Combined Training) and WPCSA (Welsh) awards.  Several former students have gone on to compete at the National level and have become trainers themselves.
